Bengals signed Brandon Lafell to a 1 year deal after completing the 2015 season with the New England Patriots

Brandon LaFell secured 4-of-7 targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' Super Bowl 49 win over the Seahawks.
LaFell's biggest play was an 11-yard TD catch in the second quarter, beating replacement CB Tharold Simon. It gave New England a 14-7 lead. An offseason free agent signing, LaFell finally realized his potential during his first year as a Patriot, recording a 74-953-7 receiving line. Assuming the Patriots don't add a big-time talent at wide receiver this offseason, 28-year-old LaFell should again flirt with WR2 stats in 2015.

Brandon LaFell was born and raised in the fourth ward area of Houston, TX. Brandon discovered his love for sports while attending Gregory Lincoln Middle School . He sharpened his skills while attending Lamar High School only to realize that what he had was a gift. At a young age, he discovered his passion for quality of life that exceeded his ability to run and catch the football. This discovery afforded him to dream to one day improve his quality of life and those around him by using his gift.
Things didn’t come to Brandon easily nor were there many resources available to him. He didn't have the greatest equipment or facilities to use but, what he did have was people willing to help and support him reach his goals. With his passion for life and sports, he didn’t allow anything to stand in his way.
Brandon became an amazing athlete in high school and earned a football scholarship to Louisiana State University . During his time at Louisiana State Univeristy, Brandon became one of the greatest athletes in LSU football history. He soon discovered that a dream deferred is not a dream denied. Forgoing, entering the draft his junior year to fulfill a promise to his mother, upon graduation in 2010 the Carolina Panthers chose Brandon LaFell as their 2nd pick in the overall draft.
Brandon LaFell, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. LaFell is considered one of the best wide receivers in his class. He recorded his first NFL touchdown in Week 8 agianst the St. Louis Rams, a 17 yard pass from Matt Moore.
After redshirting his initial year at LSU, LaFell saw action in 11 of the Tigers’ 13 games in 2006. LaFell's first career play was a 58-yard touchdown reception against Louisiana-Lafayette in week one. On the year, LaFell caught five passes that went for 140 yards and two touchdowns. He received Freshman All-SEC honors by the coaches. In 2007, LaFell played in all 14 games with nine starts. He ranked first on team in receiving yards (656) and second in receptions (50), while catching four TD passes and averaging 13.1 yards a reception. LaFell helped LSU to win the BCS National Championship that year.
As a junior, LaFell emerged as one of the top receivers in the country, as he caught 63 passes for 929 yards and eight touchdowns. He ranked No. 2 in the SEC in yards per game with 71.5 per contest and was No. 3 in the league with 4.8 receptions per contest. LaFell subsequently earned First-Team All-SEC honors by the Associated Press.

LaFell attended Lamar High School in Houston , where he caught 46 passes for 1,116 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior. Also starring on special teams, he returned punts of 65 and 58 yards for touchdowns. LaFell was a member of the Houston  Chronicle Top 100 and named first-team All-Greater Houston Area in 2004.Considered a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, LaFell was listed as the No. 32 wide receiver prospect in the nation.
