Miami Dolphins: Rookie offensive lineman Isaiah Prince might just catch a pass while lining up as a

Former Ohio State offensive lineman was a three-year starter at right tackle and earned All-Big Ten honors his senior season

You probably do not know Isaiah Prince, a rookie offensive lineman for the Dolphins. But before he catches a pass, you might want to get to know him.

After being inactive for the first three games, the 6-foot-7, 305-pound former Ohio State player started the next two, against the Chargers (right tackle) and Redskins (when Miami started three tackles). He’ll be backing up right tackle Jesse Davis on Monday night when the Dolphins play the Steelers ... unless Miami goes with a three-tackle lineup again.

The coaching staff has been giving Prince an equal amount of work on both sides of the line. They’ve also put him on the field in some three-tackle formations where he would be the tackle eligible to catch a pass if called upon. Last year, under former coach Adam Gase, the departed Laremy Tunsil was the receiving target on those plays. Prince isn’t shy about touting his pass-catching abilities.

“I can catch. I’m not going to say no,” Prince said. “I’ve never done it before, but there’s a couple of tackles who have done it before, including some Ohio State boys.”
