Joe Thomas: Greg Robinson can be a Pro Bowl left tackle

Greg Robinson took the left tackle job with the Cleveland Browns and ran with it last season. The Browns made the decision to part with offensive line coach Bob Wylie and hire offensive line/associate head coach James Campen during the off-season. Former Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas believes that

"I got a chance to talk to James in the off-season after he got hired. I'm really excited for what he is going to do with Greg Robinson. Greg played some really good football last year but we all know that he can improve even on what he did last year. With the tutelage of James Campen, I think Greg Robinson can be that Pro Bowl left tackle that the Browns would love," Thomas told Cleveland Browns on 247Sports in Nashville.

The 26 year old was signed June 15. Robinson was the No. 2 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft. After spending time with the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions, he was considered a bust and was left for dead. The Browns claimed him off the scrap heap during the off-season when veteran offensive tackle Donald Stephenson made his intentions known that he intended to retire after signing with the team. Robinson started the final eight games of the 2018 season.

He signed a one year deal worth up to $9 million earlier this off-season.

Thomas was appearing on behalf of the USAA's Salute to Service. USAA, the official NFL Salute to Service partner, was there to announce their partnership with country superstar Chris Young during his upcoming tour.
