Janoris Jenkins adds another honor after best NFL season

Cornerback Janoris Jenkins signed a five-year, $62.5 million contract with the New York Giants last offseason, leaving the St. Louis Rams in free agency four seasons after they'd selected him out of North Alabama in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Jenkins responded to his big contract in the Big Apple by earning his first Pro Bowl invitation. And on Monday night, he appeared on NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2017.

NFL players vote for the Top 100 Players, and Jenkins placed 54th this year. It's the first time that Jenkins has made the list.

Jenkins intercepted three passes in 2016 as he helped the Giants improve from 6-10 in 2015 to 11-5 in 2016, when they earned their first postseason berth since 2011.

Jenkins also broke up 18 more passes and made 49 tackles for New York as he earned second-team All-Pro recognition.
