Former Eagles WR B.J. Cunningham signs with Montreal Alouettes

Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver B.J. Cunningham is headed to the Canadian Football League. Cunningham was added to the Montreal Alouettes roster the team announced Tuesday.

A sixth round pick of the Miami Dolphins, Cunningham was signed to the Eagles practice squad in 2012 after the Dolphins released him during final cuts. He remained with the Eagles before suffering an injury during training camp in 2013. The team released Cunningham and reached an injury settlement before bringing him back in October on the active roster. A month later, he was released for a second time and signed to the team’s practice squad. He was cut by the Eagles during last year’s camp and later signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad.

Cunningham, 6-foot-2, 211-pounds is Michigan State’s all-time leader in receptions (218) and receiving yards (3,086).
