2008 (Dallas):
•Began the preseason with the Denver Broncos before his trade to Dallas on Aug. 28.
•After his arrival in Dallas, was inactive for the first two games of the season then was active but did not play in the next two.
•Made his Dallas debut against Cincinnati (10/5) as a reserve left guard.
•Played one series at Arizona (10/12) before seeing time on special teams units at St. Louis (10/19) and against Tampa Bay (10/26).
•Spent most of his time on special teams but filled in on a few snaps for Leonard Davis, who left the game with a minor ankle injury, at the N.Y. Giants (11/2).
•Was inactive at Washington (11/16) and against San Francisco (11/23).
•Earned his first start as a Cowboy at left guard in place of Kyle Kosier on Thanksgiving Day against Seattle (11/27). Was a part of an offense that scored on each of its first four possessions en route to a 34-9 win. Also did not allow a sack as Romo had his sixth 300-yard game of the season.
•Paved the way for Tashard Choice to rack up 88 rushing yards - the highest individual rushing total against the Steelers (12/7) all season. Left the game in the second quarter with a right knee/ankle injury.
•Was inactive through the final three games of the season with the injury.
2007: Holland started all 16 games for the first time in his career during his inaugural season with Denver, opening up every contest at the right guard position... Blocked for a Broncos offense that ranked fifth in the NFL in yards per rush (4.6) and ninth in rushing yardage (122.3 ypg.)... Helped Denver become one of four clubs in the league with two 650+yard rushers (Selvin Young-729 yds., Travis Henry-691 yds.)... Started his Broncos debut and blocked for 171 rushing yards on 32 carries (5.3 avg.) at Buf. (9/9)... Part of an offensive line effort that cleared the way for a season-high 223 rushing yards on 36 carries (6.2 avg.) at Ind. (9/30)... Helped the club total 215 rushing yards on 34 carries (6.3 avg.) vs. K.C. (12/9)... Started on a line that cleared the way for 128 rushing yards on 27 carries (4.7 avg.) vs. Min. (12/30), which entered the game with the NFL’s top-ranked run defense.
2006: Holland played eight games (0 starts) before being declared inactive for New Orleans’ two playoff games. He dressed for the eight regular-season contests in which he did not play.
2005: Holland played 15 games (10 starts) for the Saints, seeing time as a starting right (7 games) and left guard (3 games). He contributed on special teams during the first three games of the season before joining the starting lineup in New Orleans’ game vs. Buf. (10/2). Holland dressed but did not play vs. Mia. (10/30) before returning to the starting lineup vs. Chi. (11/6). He started at left guard in the last three games of the year after making seven starts at right guard.
2004: Holland played 13 games (13 starts) at right guard for New Orleans. He suffered a torn right knee ligament at Atl. (11/28), and that injury forced him to be declared inactive for three games. He returned as the Saints’ starting right guard for the remainder of the season.
2003: Selected by New Orleans in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft, Holland played all 16 games (7 starts) during his first professional season. He contributed primarily on special teams during the first nine games. Holland assumed a starting role at left guard vs. Atl. (11/26) when Kendyl Jacox was hurt the week before. Holland filled in at left guard for four games before sliding to right guard to replace LeCharles Bentley for the last two games.
COLLEGE: Holland was a three-year starter at Florida State University, where he totaled 29 consecutive starts at right guard and earned All-ACC honors during each of his final three years. As a senior, Holland started the first 10 games and earned third-team All-America recognition by The Sporting News and first-team All-ACC honors. As a junior, Holland was an All-ACC second teamer and earned the team’s offensive MVP award, allowing only two sacks for the year. As a sophomore, Holland started all 13 games for the Seminoles, did not allow a sack and was an honorable mention All-ACC choice. He saw time in 1999 as a redshirt freshman.
PERSONAL: Holland was considered one of the nation’s top offensive linemen at Jefferson High School in Ore, Texas, as a senior... Also competed in track and field... Enjoys working with youth football programs in the offseason... Married to Janette, and the couple has two daughters, Jasmine and Taylor... Earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Florida State... Montrae Rondrell Holland was born on May 21, 1980, in Jefferson, Texas.
