To meet this goal, Schwartz & Feinsod have retained the services of Dr. Gerard P. Varlotta. Dr. Varlotta has made himself available to consult and treat all of our Players.Dr. Varlotta received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and received an undergraduate degree from Colgate University.
Dr. Varlotta has been in private practice for the past thirteen years in New York City specializing in Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. He is an Associate Professor of Rehabilitation and Director of Sports Rehabilitation at New York University Medical Center/Rusk Institute/Hospital for Joint Disease.
Dr. Varlotta is the Assistant Director of the New York State Athletic Commission for Boxing, Medical Physician at the Millrose Track & Field Games in New York City, Volunteer physician at Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic and Para-Olympic Games, Medical Director and Sports Medicine Coordinator of the Eastern Paralytic Veterans Association and Medical Captain and coordinator of the acute medical tent at the finish line of the New York City Marathon.Dr. Varlotta is Chairman of New York University School of Medicine Post-Graduate Medical Education courses on Sports Medicine. He is nationally published in peer review journals and has written medical chapters on sports medicine and spinal injuries.
Dr. Varlotta has appeared on national television programs including, CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN, and print media for his medical opinion on a variety of different sports related injuries and other injury related topics.
Besides treating all of our Players, Dr. Varlotta has also treated such athletes as Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones, Jr. and Jackie Joyner Kersey.
